Senators divided honors with Samanes

The people of Caracas capitalized on the rival's blinks to add their fourth victory

Jordany Valdespin drew a bases-loaded ticket in the ninth inning for Senadores de Caracas to beat Samanes de Aragua 5-4 this Wednesday at Parque de la UCV.

Those led by Víctor Garate divided honors in the series of two commitments and left their record at 4-6.

The people from the capital got up early to Nicaraguan starter Carlos Teller with three runs in the first episode thanks to a home run by designated Seuly Matías.

However, Teller pulled himself together and Samanes was able to turn the score around in the fifth inning. Omar Carrizales, with a single, and Eduardo Díaz, with his second home run of the year, completed a four-run cluster that changed the face of the game.

Senadores took advantage of a wild pitch by Javier Gorrin to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth. The equality was maintained until the closing of the commitment, when the Caracas ambushed Vicentes Campos and Valdespin -with full bases and two outs- took out the golden ticket.

The closer of the defending champion, Jumbo Díaz, was credited with the victory by drawing zero in the ninth inning of Samanes. He leveled his record to 1-1 and posted his third scoreless appearance.

The setback was for Vicente Campos, who ended up allowing two hits, giving up two tickets and allowing the difference in a two-thirds relay.
