Castillo already trains with Tecolotes

It will be his first year in the Mexican Baseball League

After a very productive 2022 individually with the Águilas del Zulia, reinforcing the Leones in the Round Robin (where he helped win a new crown in the LVBP) and playing in the 2023 Caribbean Series, Ali Castillo began another phase of his professional career but now in Mexico with the Tecolotes de Dos Laredos.

The utility native of Maracaibo explains in an interview with the press office of the group that lives in the state of Tamaulipas what it has been like to arrive at this institution and help them achieve the goal of being protagonists in the tournament.

“I am quite happy with the work group, with the staff, with the players, trying to get to know them, very happy to be here in Mexico”, affirms the Zuliano who will be led by the experienced Dominican helmsman Félix Fermín.

When asked about the role he will have in the club during the Mexican Baseball League season that starts on April 21, Castillo said that he will always be available to what the manager decides but he hopes to have a presence in the infield.

The Venezuelan was during 2022 in the AA and AAA branches of the Philadelphia Phillies where he left .264 AVE with 29 RBIs and 43 scored.
