Ildemaro Vargas guided the victory of Nacionales

The Venezuelan hit his second home run of the season

The Washington nationals They achieved a victory (3-1) against the San Diego Padres thanks to the offense led by the Venezuelans Ildemaro Vargas and Keibert Ruiz.

Vargas hit his second homer of the season with a hard drive to right field that allowed him to open the scoring in the top of the third inning.

Finally, the Venezuelan Keibert Ruiz would give the victory point with a sacrifice fly that propelled Alex Call to the plate.

Regarding pitching, the Venezuelan Aníbal Sánchez started as the starter, where he pitched for five innings in which he struck out four rivals and received the tying run.  

Despite the victory, the Washington Nationals are in last place in the East division of the National League, 36.5 games behind the New York Mets and 26.5 games behind the Phillies, who are third.
