The team has the participation of several figures who make life in the Major Leagues

The Wildcats KJ74 team, representatives of Curaçao for the Greater Caracas 2023 Caribbean Series, arrived in the country on Monday to begin their preparation for the international tournament.

The Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía received the champion delegation of the Curaçao National Championship AA League, which arrives with a large group of major leaguers.

Among the figures present are Andrelton Simmons (Chicago Cubs), Jonathan Schoop (Detroit Tigers) and Jurickson Profar (San Diego Padres).

The squad list for the Gran Caracas 2023 Caribbean Series was revealed by various journalists through social networks.

For their part, the players spoke after their arrival in the country before the VTV cameras, where they were excited about the participation they will have in the tournament.

“There are a lot of players with a lot of experience on the team, young guys with fresh arms so we have a chance. Outside of the play you can talk a lot but when the game starts we'll see where we are”, Simmons said.

For his part, Schoop stressed that the event will serve the players as preparation for the World Baseball Classic to be held next March.

"We prepared very well and this is also going to be part of the Classic and it would be good to show that we also play good ball and we are here not to participate but to win the Caribbean Series," Schoop explained.
