Tickets for the first-round contest between rivals Chinese Taipei and Japan at the 20,000-seat Taichung International Stadium on November 7 took less than 30 minutes to sell out.
Japan has a history with Venezuela and the rivalries do increase, especially for the latter, who said goodbye to the last tournament thanks to them. For its part, Chinese Taipei knows the terrain and repeats six of its 2015 players, to face the always difficult Puerto Rico, which finished in 2nd place in the last two World Classics in 2013 and 2017.
