Arráez: I think I have to be in the All Star

El líder campaign bat believes he has the necessary arguments to be summoned to the classic

The summer classic is special because it brings together the best of each position in a historic event that marks exactly the middle of the season. They all want to be there and of course Luis Arraez is no exception.

The current Venezuelan líder bat of the campaign (.355), confessed in an interview with LasMayores.com that he longs to be in the All Star next July 19, which will be played at Dodger Stadium.

“I want to go… I don't know if they want to vote for me. I hope so, because I've had a very good season. I think I have to be there”, commented the one from San Felipe

In the first reports offered on Tuesday, Arráez was in fourth place among first basemen, behind:

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Blue Jays)
  • Ty France (Mariners)
  • Anthony Rizzo (Yankees)

To advance to the final round, where the headlines will be chosen, the Venezuelan must finish among the two most voted.

Arguments have plenty. In addition to his best, Arráez leads the Twins in WAR with 2.5, according to Baseball Reference, that is, he is the player who contributes the most victories to the team thanks to his level of play.

Its growth in general has been progressive. He has actually looked much stronger and has already matched his career high for home runs with four.

Arráez hopes that people notice his evolution and give him the opportunity to fulfill a dream, which in his opinion every furrier has.

“Everyone wants to be an All-Star,” he stated without hesitation.

“I want to be there, 100%. If not, I have to keep playing hard, working hard every day,” she reflected.
