Projections dictate a better year for Miguel Cabrera

It is estimated that the Venezuelan hit at least 11 home runs this season

The iconic Venezuelan baseball player, Miguel Cabrera, will play his last season in the Major Leagues this 2023 to close one of the most important careers in recent years.

During the 2022 season, the player batted .254 with 101 hits, five home runs and 43 RBIs. However, this new campaign plans to break those numbers.

According to the projections made by the Baseball Reference and Fangraphs portals, "Miggy" will leave numbers much higher in his retirement year than those shown in 2022.

According to Baseball Reference, Cabrera will finish with 11 home runs this season. In addition, they calculated that he will get 104 hits, 55 RBIs and a .657 OPS.

For their part, from Fangraphs they estimated that "El tigre mayor" will play 36 games less than last season, although he will get a couple of home runs more than the previous year.

To achieve these numbers, Miguel Cabrera could climb positions in some lines such as hits (to 16th place), home runs (to 23rd place) and trailers (to 13th place).
