Pablo López puts an end to the winning drought

The Zulian put his record at 5-3 and lowered his ERA to 2.61

The Venezuelan Pablo López, of the Miami Marlins, resumed the winning path this Wednesday night, after not knowing the victory since last May 7.

In seven innings of work, the 26-year-old Lopez limited the Colorado Rockies' bats to four hits. Despite the fact that they made him an unearned run, that he does not increase his effectiveness, and he gave away three walks, the Venezuelan starter struck out six rivals.

The native of Cabimas, Zulia state, made 107 pitches, 68 of them located in the strike zone, after facing 27 batters.

Thanks to an excellent presentation, Pablo López put his record at 5-3 and lowered his ERA, which at one point was the best in the Major Leagues (MLB, for its acronym in English, to 2.61.

In addition to López, Jesús Aguilar, Miguel Rojas and Yonathan Daza were the other Venezuelans who saw action in this challenge.

Aguilar hit a hit, Rojas went 4-2 and Daza hit his fourth home run of the season.

The Marlins had the power of Garrett Cooper, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Jorge Sole, wining (7-4) this game against the Rockies.

Now, Don Mattingly's squad looks 31-36 without many chances of aspiring to the postseason, since the East Division of the National League has the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves as protagonists.
