Pablo López added the seventh setback of the year

The Venezuelan deteriorated his performance after winning the pitcher of the month award for April

The Venezuelan Pablo López, of the Miami Marlins, added this Saturday his defeat number seven of the 2022 season of the Major Leagues (MLB, for its acronym in English).

In five chapters of work, López received nine hits, allowed four runs, gave away two walks and struck out six batters for the Chicago Cubs.

The native of Cabimas, Zulia state, allowed the team from the "city of the winds" to step on the plate in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

Now, the Venezuelan right-hander is 7-7 with an ERA, once the best in the MLB, of 3.57.

In a team that does not provide much offensive contribution, Pablo López worsened his performance in the campaign.

The Marlins starter won the National League pitcher of the month award for April after going 3-0 with a 0.39 ERA.

Since then, the Venezuelan's record, which sounded to leave the Marlins before the trade deadline, is 4-7.
