Mauricio Dubón will uniform with Houston

The Honduran has two homers and eight RBIs this season

The Houston Astros acquired Honduran outfielder Mauricio Dubon in a trade with the San Francisco Giants on Saturday.

Dubon, 27, he's hitting .239 with two homers and eight RBIs in 21 games this season. He has major league experience as a second and third baseman, shortstop and center field.

The Giants traded for minor league catcher Michael Papierski and assigned him to Triple-A Sacramento.

San Francisco also brought in Donovan Walton from Sacramento before their game in St. Louis.

Dubón made his major league debut in 2019 in Milwaukee. His batting career is .258 with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs in 179 games.

The Astros have won 11 straight before Saturday's game against Washington.
