Judge in tough fight for the Triple Crown

The slugger has a close batting fight and dominates home runs and RBIs

Since the All-Star break, talk of a potential Triple Crown winner this season has focused on Cardinals first baseman and NL MVP favorite Paul Goldschmidt.

But as we enter the final weeks of the regular round, it's the slugger of the Yankees, Aaron Judge, who is best placed to become the 11th player in AL/LN history to lead his league in batting average, home runs and RBIs (since IC became an official stat in 1920) .

Judge has been making headlines primarily for his pursuit of the American League record for home runs, the 61 hit by Roger Maris 61 years ago. Judge went 5-for-4 and homered twice against the Brewers to put his total at 59, then hit the fence again to become the first American League player since Maris to reach 60 homers.
