The Seattle Mariners announced the signing of baseball player Kolten Wong, who arrives from the Milwaukee Brewers after a trade that included two players and a sum of money.
The team received this experienced player in exchange for outfielder Jesse Winker and infielder Abraham Toro. In addition, Seattle will receive $1.75 million in cash.
Wong, 32, has a .261 career average in a 10-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals and Brewers.
As for the trades, Winker spent a single season with the Mariners and will become a free agent in 2023.

For his part, Toro barely has a .206 average in four years with the Houston Astros and Mariners, so both trades don't represent any significant loss for the franchise.
