Intractable was Henry Centeno this Sunday to lead the victory of the Bravos de Margarita 7-1 over Tigres de Aragua, which right now have been left out of the classification.
Centeno blanked the Bengals for 5.0 innings, allowing only a couple of hits and managing to improve his ERA to 4.26.
The insular offense backed him up early. They scored a streak in the first inning with a double by Carlos Pérez and sentenced with a cluster of six in the next inning, combining singles by Dilson Herrera, Diego Rincones, Ramón Flores and David Rodríguez.
Tigres discounted with one in the sixth after a single by Edwin García. But he couldn't do more than that.
Centeno earned his fourth win of the season and Elih Villanueva (2-3) charged with the setback.
The Braves, who have lost six of their last 10 meetings, take a breather with this win that leaves them with a 21-20 record, momentarily in fourth place.
Tigres, on the other hand, suffered their fifth loss in a row and dropped out of the standings, falling one game behind the inspired Caribes de Anzoátegui.
