Venezuelan Diego Castillo demonstrated his home run ability on Wednesday, after hitting a couple of homers against the pitchers of the Minnesota Twins.
The infielder of the Pittsburgh Pirates he hit his first homer in the top of the fourth inning. According Baseball Savant, the barquisimetan connection recorded a muzzle velocity of 102.1 miles per hour and traveled 350 feet.
The 24-year-old Castillo's second four-run homer came in the sixth. According to the aforementioned MLB portal, the hit went out at 102.9 miles per hour.
On Wednesday, the Venezuelan went 3-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Despite Castillo's excellent offensive production, Minnesota beat Pittsburgh (9-4).
During spring training, Diego Castillo is batting .368 after having seven hits in 19 at-bats. Plus, he collects three home runs and drove in six runs.
