Altuve saw it clearly and Astros avoided a sweep

"Astroboy" had his 13th three-hit game this season

Despite missing more than two-thirds of the season, José Altuve has been in tune on offense with the Houston Astros. And this Sunday he did it once again, to avoid the sweep of his team at Kauffman Stadium; by winning 7-1 to the Kansas City Royals.

The Venezuelan went 5-for-3 with a double (17), two runs scored and one RBI, to reach 46 so far this campaign. Additionally, this was his 13th game with at least three hits in the harvest, which places him third among Venezuelans. He is only behind Luis Arráez (20) and Ronald Acuña Jr. (21); two players who have competed with their teams all year.

In this way, José Altuve leaves his average at .311 (from 309-96), with 72 runs scored, 36 extra-base hits and an OPS of .939 in 678 plate appearances. Jake Meyers also contributed for Houston with his 10th hit of the year, Yordan Álvarez with his 28th, and Chas McCormick went 4 for 3 with an RBI.

They supported a fantastic work by Framber Valdez; that he worked for seven innings. There he allowed one run (unearned), walked one and struck out five opponents, to score his twelfth victory of the season (12-10).
