Alexander Palma hit an RBI hit this Wednesday to leave Navegantes del Magallanes on the field at the Estadio Universitario in Caracas, which registered an attendance of 20.365 fans.
After Leones del Caracas managed to equalize the actions in the tenth inning, after an uncatchable by Freddy Fermín, who reached the third on an error by Dominican center fielder Rainel Rosario, Palma hit a gold single that gave the victory to the capital troop (5 to 4).
With this winning hit, the ranger, who has been characterized as the tow truck for Caracas, reached 20 RBIs in the current 2022-23 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).
Thanks to Palma, Leones lead the particular series over their eternal rival 4-1 so far this season.
The victory was taken by Caracas closer Anthony Castro (3-0) and the defeat went to Bruce Rondón (0-1), who had an interesting duel against José Rondón at the end of the ninth chapter after what happened in the previous Caracas-Magallanes.
Now, the troops from the capital have a 16-9 record, one game away from líder Cardenales de Lara, and the "Turkish ship" boasts a losing record of 13-15 to remain in the core of the league table.
