The German team won its first FIBA World Cup after beating the Serbian national team 83-77 this Sunday in the grand final of the tournament.
After finishing the match, FIBA reported that the Most Valuable Player (MVP) was Dennis Schröder, this was due to how decisive he was for his team from the first game of the group stage..
Only in the semifinal and final of the championship did he stand out with his impressive scoring ability that has allowed him to shine in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the semifinal against the United States he scored a total of 17 points, 9 assists and 2 rebounds; while in the game against Serbia he scored 28 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
These performances occurred precisely in the game against Latvia, where he scored only 9 points and 45 assists to classify it as “the worst game” of his career.

The German player was also awarded by FIBA as part of the All Stars Five (Ideal Quintet) through an announcement on his social networks.
