Cocodrilos de Caracas came from behind to beat Diablos de Miranda 74-79 on Tuesday at the "Papá" Carrillo, at the beginning of the second week of action of the SPB 2023.
Gonzálo García's men remain undefeated after five presentations. The Mirandinos, on the other hand, have a negative record of 1-4.
Diablos took advantage of the ineffectiveness of the saurians from the line of three and imposed their team to win the first quarter 19-13.
But the triples began to fall in the second quarter and Cocodrilos, supported by Gregory Curvelo and Jovanni Díaz, showed their superiority and prevailed 18-27 to reach halftime leading 37-40.

The second part was much more balanced, so much so that Diablos dominated the third leg 21-19 and managed to reach the end of the match down only by one (58-59). The game was for either of them, but in the end it was the saurians who sealed the victory, leveraging their experience.
Luis Montero was the best for Crocodiles with 16 points and five rebounds, followed by Jovanni Díaz, who, coming off the bench, scored 13 points. Luis Bethelmy and Miguel Bolívar each added 10 points.
For Diablos it was Raimer Santana with 24 points.
