Guaros de Lara has already taken off and announced José "Grillo" Vargas as his new captain for the 2022 Basketball Super League.
The experienced 40-year-old forward returns to the organization with which he was champion in 2017 and 2018.
Now the Venezuelan will have the mission of commanding the Larense roster that will be full of young figures.
Vargas played the last Super League Cup with Spartans Distrito Capital, after playing the first two editions of the Super League with Gigantes.
The last jersey Vargas wore was that of the Spartans, a team with which he averaged 6.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.7 steals, in 12 games played.

Guaros de Lara started its preseason this Monday at the Domo Bolivariano de Barquisimeto.
Guaros will debut on Sunday, June 10, receiving Centauros de Portuguesa at the Domo Bolivariano.
