In the third quarter, control of the capital was maintained. But towards the end, when it seemed that the Spartans had the victory in their hands, Rainers Cadarian appeared to lead the supersonic reaction with new points in those last seven minutes.
A Luca Vildoza free kick tied it at 86 and forced extra time, in which the hero was Efianayi Tanksley with four decisive free throws.
Spartans insisted and even got their hands on the last play of the game, but they missed from the perimeter.
