The current champion of the Guaiqueríes de Margarita Basketball Super League continues to strengthen for the new national basketball season, which will begin on July 8.
The island team renewed Edgar "Petare" Martínez for this campaign. Martínez has played the last three seasons with Margarita's team, the team with which he won the championship.

"Petare" left an average of 9.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists last season.
Johan Rodríguez Vice President of Guaiqueríes assured that having renewed Martínez is very important for the team.
“We are quite happy with the renewal of Edgar Martínez, he is a player who gives the team a lot of projection”.
For his part, the 25-year-old forward said he was excited about this new season with the islanders.
"I'm really looking forward to wearing the Guaiqueríes de Margarita shirt again, that's why I'm here and I want to get a new title for the team."
