Llaneros de Guárico surprised this Thursday by beating Trotamundos de Carabobo 92-91 in an electrifying match at the San Juan de Los Morros Olympic Dome.
The "Fury Llanera" became strong at home and prevailed with a layup by Marcus Thomas with four seconds remaining on the clock.
With partials of 19 – 24, 20 – 13, 24 – 29 and 29 – 25, Guárico's men were in control of the match, despite great offensive passages from “Expreso Azul”.

Thomas, of course, was the figure of Llaneros scoring 28 points, 18 of them in the last quarter. At the same time Delwan Graham recorded numbers close to double figures by finishing with 20 points and eight rebounds.
For Globetrotters, the best were Al Thornton and Elvis Báez, both with 17 points.
For Llaneros, fourth in the South Division, it is just the sixth victory of the season in 16 games. The "Blue Express", on the other hand, remains líder of the group with a record of 14-3.
