Heroes made itself felt in Maracay

First victory of the season for the Falconians

Heroes de Falcon sealed their first win in the 2023 Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) this Wednesday, against Taurinos de Aragua at the El Limón Coliseum 95-83.

Those led by coach Richi Gonzalez were able to maintain the advantage throughout the engagement.

The first set was even, both teams started with everything. But a play in which Shaquille Cleare scored two points and was fouled for later gave Héroes the lead in the final seconds 22-19.

For the second quarter, the Falconians showed all their offensive power and managed to take a 16-point lead. Taurinos pressed towards the end and the difference was reduced to 13 points to end the first half (45-37).

At the beginning of the second half, the team from Aragón was much better in attack, taking the lead by one point. Heroes was able to reverse the score with a flurry of scores and the score was 65-62.

Already for the last period, those directed by Richi Gonzalez took an important advantage over the end that was lapidary for Taurinos and left the final score at 95-83.

Richard Bautista was the most outstanding player for the Falconians, scoring 19 points and distributing eight assists. Kelvin Caraballo was also decisive, getting 14 points and eight rebounds.

In this way, Heroes de Falcon achieves its first road victory in SPB 2023.
