Terry Rozier commanded the Hornets' triumph

The Miami team ranks sixth in the West, while Charlotte ranks penultimate

The Charlotte Hornets got a surprise victory (122-117) against the Miami Heat at the Spectrum Center to end the positive streak they had.

Despite their defeat, Spoelstra's team had some moments of advantage to try to win. However, their rivals reacted strongly to being commanded by Terry Rozier.

The point guard became the top scorer for his team by adding 31 points and 7 assists that made him the most dangerous of the Hornets.

Rozier was supported by the performances of PJ Washington with 27 points, who was important for the quarter in which the team turned the score around.

For his part, LaMelo Ball scored 13 of his 19 points in the final period to consecrate Charlotte's lead.

“Having LaMelo and Hayward back makes a big difference for us. If we get the group to have continuity, I think we will be able to live stretches of good basketball. It helps for players to know who they're playing with and where the shots are going to come from,” said coach Steve Clifford.

The Hornets are 14th in the Eastern Conference, while the Heat sit 6th with a 28-23 mark.

For the rest of the day:

Grizzlies vs. Pacers (112-100)

Cavaliers vs. Clippers (122-99)

Bucks vs. Pelicans (135-110)
