The North Carolina franchise has not yet determined its choice, as there are already other coaches such as Kenny Atkinson, Darvin Ham, Charles Lee and David Vanterpool who can be on the bench and give it the boost that Charlotte needs for 2023.
Charles Lee has been an assistant to Mike Budenholzer since 2018 after previously passing through the Atlanta Hawks (2014-18) and Bucknell University (2012-14) also as an assistant.
In the case of Vanterpool, he has been on the bench for CSKA Moscow (2007-10); Portland Trail Blazers (2012-19); Minnesota Timberwolves (2019-20) and the aforementioned Brooklyn Nets (2021-current).
Unfortunately for James Borrego his project did not convince the board, which is the great piece to replace. In case there is any agreement between the team and Vogel, the defense is expected to increase, since it is Vogel's style of play.
In fact, thanks to the structure proposed by the American coach, the Lakers achieved the ring in the NBA.
LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges are some of the notable figures for the Hornets quintet, this group is identified by their youth and the desire they show to rise. A team that any coach would like to lead.
