Spurs lose Keldon Johnson to injury

The player has a dislocation in his right shoulder that will not allow him to be in training camp

The Spurs of San Antonio announced that their main guard, Keldon Johnson, suffered a dislocation in his right shoulder, so he will not be able to join the Texans' training camp.

According to information from specialized media, coach Gregg Popovich could also lose this player for the start of the regular season.

Keldon Johnson had become one of the most stable pieces of the Spurs that are in restructuring. In mid-July, he signed a four-year, $80 million contract extension.

The agreement is due to the great results he left during the 2021-22 NBA season, where he averaged 17 points, 6,1 rebounds and 2,1 assists per game.

The loss of the shooting guard is added to those of great figures such as Dejounte Murray and Derrick White, so Keldon was the most important piece in the squad.

The exact time of the basketball player's recovery is unknown, who will begin rehabilitation immediately.
