Joel Embiid sprained his left foot and will miss at least the next two games, joining teammates James Harden and Tyrese Maxey among the Philadelphia 76ers stars sidelined with injuries.
The three basketball players will be absent from Tuesday's game, which will mark the return of point guard Ben Simmons to his old home. The Brooklyn Nets visit Philadelphia.
Embiid, the reigning scoring champion of the NBA, will also miss Wednesday's game in Charlotte.
The Sixers reported Monday that Embiid's condition after those absences will be evaluated "in the coming days."
The Cameroonian star was injured in the final part of Saturday's game against Minnesota. He tripped over his fallen partner Georges Niang and collapsed.

He remained lying on his back while medical attention was given to him. He limped to the bench but stayed in the game.
Embiid limped through the remainder of the game, but finished it with 32 points and nine rebounds. He made 18 of 20 free throws.
"Hopefully I feel better in some way, but we'll see," Embiid said after the game.
The Sixers have had injury problems all season and are just 8-8.
