Farías wants Bolivia to make his football feel against Paraguay

The Bolivian coach, Venezuelan César Farías, expressed on Tuesday the hope that his team would "make his football feel" against a Paraguay he respects and that has players who "are used to playing at height."

Both teams will meet at the 3.650 meters of altitude of the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz in a duel of high importance for both teams and not lose chances of qualifying for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

During a virtual press conference, Farías said that in the group there is "tranquility" because they have "how to respond to emergencies" due to the forced casualties of Luis Haquín, injured, Adrián Jusino, absent due to accumulation of yellow cards, and Henry Vaca expelled in the match against Peru.

Precisely, the coach plans to make some changes to the starting eleven although he has considered the incorporation of midfielder Erwin Saavedra and Diego Bejarano who recently tested negative for covid-19 unlikely.

The Green coach did not give clues as to which team could take the field against Paraguay or whether it will maintain the 3-4-1-2 scheme that it presented in the duel against Peru.

"We are working to win, we want to win," said the Green helmsman who also acknowledged that the games he has had to lead during his career against Paraguay "have been very fought."

Farías identified that Paraguay, apart from having footballers in major world leagues, has "five or six players who are used to playing at high altitude" something that makes it "a difficult game" although he also pointed out that Bolivia has its own possibilities.

The Venezuelan stressed the importance of the "patience" of his team in the game that Bolivia beat Peru 1-0 with a goal on the hour, something that should be maintained in this second consecutive home game.

He also stressed that in La Paz "most of the goals" are made after the 75th minute of the matches, which is why it is important to keep your own goal at zero and insistently seek the possibility of winning.

The points at stake are fundamental for Green, since a victory against Paraguay would allow them to reach the same points as that team that has already accumulated 12 and in an expectant position to be able to fight for a place in the next world cup.
