An act of violence broke out this Wednesday with the fans of Deportivo Cali, when a crowd from the stands went down to the field to attack the players and coaching staff of the Colombian team.
Those led by Mayer Candelo were losing 2-0 to Cortuluá, a match that was not fully played due to the interruption of users who violated the security of the players.
Striker Teófilo Gutiérrez suffered from several pushes and blows, while the coach took the worst part from the aggressors, until the national police managed to rescue the strategist and escort him out of the field.

The videos about this violent incident circulate on social networks, where opinion is divided, some condemn the facts while others justify the action due to the losing streak that the Cali club is going through.
The corresponding match for date 13 of the Closing Tournament ended with the same result despite the fact that at least 15 minutes remained, plus the aggregate, this decision was notified by the Liga Betplay Di Mayor.
"It's not healthy, it's not right. The end result compromises us all: empty stadiums, keeping children away from the stadium, social problems. I ask for complete solidarity with the entire Deportivo Cali squad," team captain Sebastián Viera tweeted.
