Referees are trained in the Galician Brotherhood

Enjoy a new installment of "Sowing Chess" by Juan Armando Röhl.

The future district referees began a Training Workshop at the headquarters of the Peña "Alexandre Bóveda" in the Galician Brotherhood. The event began last Saturday May 28 and will continue until this Sunday, for two weekends, a group of enthusiastic chess players from Greater Caracas and the central areas, will receive training from the experienced International Referee (IA) from the capital, José Luis Guilarte, authority on the subject and who has participated in the main Venezuelan events in the last 35 years.

The workshop is supported by the Chess Standards Foundation and its president, the National Master Angel Renato Matos and with the endorsement of the Chess Association of the Capital District and its active president, Mr. Giovanni Hernández. The opening ceremony was attended by of the new director of Sports of the Galician Brotherhood, Mr. Alexander Dios, as well as the president of the Peña, the International Master (IM) Juan Röhl and his Treasurer, the National Master (MN) Alejandro Casal. The event has the participation of 18 future referees of the chess events in Greater Caracas and Venezuela.

tomorrow starts the IRT “Hybrid of the Americas” Sub 2400, tournament to be played under the Swiss System for 6 Rounds, with a reflection time of 60 minutes with a 30-second increment per game per player.
