Venezuela falls to Peru and is sixth in the South American U-20

The Creole delegation was defeated in a penalty shootout against the Incas

The Venezuelan Futsal team was defeated this Sunday 3-1 on penalties against its counterpart from Peru, in the match for fifth place by the South American category organized by CONMEBOL.

The final result after regulation time at the José Maria Vargas Dome in La Guaira was 4-4.

Chumpe put the Incas ahead in just the fourth minute of the game, while Venezuela added a couple of goals; worked by Jason García and José Sucre, to turn the game around.

However, Peru equalized through Almendares, taking the match 2-2 at the end of the first period.

Subsequently, the match continued to be a give and take after the start of the second half, with Peru scoring and Venezuela responding, until both teams finished with four goals on the scoreboard; forcing the game to be defined in shots from the penalty spot.

In this way, Venezuela; who came into this match after finishing third in Group A, concludes their participation in the tournament as sixth.
