Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, assured this Wednesday, during David Alaba's official presentation, that the Austrian player, after winning 28 trophies at Bayern Munich, has the challenge of winning more titles for the Whites.

The top white president praised the figure of the first signing that Real Madrid announced for the 2021/22 season and declared that he hopes that the former Bayern Munich defender will collaborate in achieving new triumphs for his club.

“You come from one of the great clubs in the world, Bayern, a friendly club, in which you have won 28 titles, 2 'Champions' between them. You are without a doubt one of the Bayern legends. “You have been voted the best player in Austria seven times and have been in the best UEFA team three times. You arrive at Real Madrid with the highest recognition. It is a very special day for you and you have to face an exciting challenge, which is to win new titles for Real Madrid and be part of the club's history ”, he added.

In addition, he stressed that Alaba will play in a stadium, the Santiago Bernabéu, which "soon" will become the "most spectacular in the world" and pointed out that Real Madrid is "happy" to have the Austrian player.

“We are never going to give up, we are the club with the highest record in football history. Today we welcome one of those players who dreamed of wearing the Real Madrid jersey. Today we want to welcome an extraordinary footballer ”, he explained.

In addition, he recalled that every time Real Madrid presents a new footballer, the madridistas live a moment of “special emotions”. He also indicated that the arrival of a "magnificent player" like Alaba, coincides with that of Ancelotti in his new stage at Real Madrid.

“We want our partners to be proud. You have to remember the fans, who have been fighting and suffering from this pandemic for months. Football without them in the stadiums is different and we hope that we will meet again soon in the stands. They are the ones who feed the myth of Real Madrid ”, he said.

“We have suffered and continue to suffer the tragedy of this pandemic that has also hit football. That is why we work with creativity and solidarity at Real Madrid. We work so that the dreams of our fans are fulfilled ”, he concluded.
