Atlético de Madrid remains a firm líder league after beating Sevilla 2-0 this Tuesday in the postponed match of the first date of the Spanish championship.

The Argentine Ángel Correa opened the scoring shot close to the post (17), before Saúl Ñíguez made it 2-0 (75), which gave the rojiblanco team three points in a match played on the frosty Madrid night.

Correa received a ball in the area and on the turn he released a tight shot to the post, which Sevillista goal Bono (17) could not reach.

The score in favor led Atlético to close ranks, without giving up going on the attack at speed every time they recovered the ball against a Sevilla that moved the ball from one side to the other trying to find the hole in the rival defensive tangle.

The Sevilla team tried to penetrate the bands where Lucas Ocampos appeared, who was closely watched by Kieran Trippier.

The Andalusian pressure intensified in the second half, but Atlético endured the sevillistas onslaught and extended their account in a quick attack led by Marcos Llorente on the right to center the area, where Saúl controlled and scored (76). 

This second goal was final to certify the victory of Atlético, which is consolidated as líder league with four points of advantage over Real Madrid, second classified although with two more games.
