Without a shred of mercy, Gremio's artillery, guided by a Luiz Fernando, massacred Aragua 8-0 this Thursday in Porto Alegre for the third day of the Copa Sudamericana-2021.

The massacre was carried out in half an hour. With the words mercy and compassion banished from the Arena do Gremio, the tricolor feasted.

The Aragüeños scared at the beginning with two shots from Juan García, one on the edge of the area (7) and the other in a Chilean who failed in aim (10). But after that they were non-existent.

Fernando starred in a night of ten points, with a double (3, 19) and participation in five of the eight annotations.

Aldemir dos Santos Ferreira, also twice (22, 24), increased the beating, consecrated in just half an hour and which was even more bulky due to an own goal by defender Arquímedes Hernández (29). Maicon (64, from penalty) and Argentine Diego Churín (77) sealed the historic triumph.

The categorical victory consolidated the gaucho tricolor of Tiago Nunes at the top of the quadrangular, with 9 points, and left the coach of Aurirrojo, Enrique García, on the ropes, whose team is bottom, without units.

On the fourth day, next week, Gremio will host Lanús and Aragua, with practically no chances of going to the second round, at La Equidad. Argentines (3) and Colombians (3) will collide later in Asunción.
