With the comeback in their sights, Aragua FC arrived at the Olympic Stadium this Wednesday and after a good football display they managed to beat Mineros de Guayana 2-1 to advance to the group stage of the Copa Sudamericana 2021.

Ely Valderrey opened the scoring early for Guiana, who had just won the first leg 1-0. But the discount and the comeback came shortly before the break.

Daniel Rivillo scored the first for the visitors at 36 and Panamanian Alfredo Stephens gave them the lead nine minutes later.

An error by the rival defense allowed forward Héctor 'Tico' Pérez - one of the novelties on Wednesday's 11th - to recover the ball and assist the defense in the goal.

The second came from the rebound after a save by goalkeeper Pérez Cuevas to a shot from Valderrey, who did not spare the Panamanian international to seal the pass to the group stage.
